STEM Professional Learning Survey
2021 - Practitioners
Your response will play a crucial role in shaping the on-going direction of the National STEM Education and Training Strategy.  The information gathered through this annual survey will guide important decisions about STEM learning and teaching in Scotland and the support that is required. This will help to ensure that practitioners across all educational sectors and geographical locations have access to high-quality professional learning that meets their needs. It will also help us track improvements in the provision of professional learning over the lifetime of the STEM Strategy (2017-2022).  The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete.

Who should complete this survey?

Practitioners in early learning and childcare settings, primary, ASN and secondary schools are being invited to complete this survey. Other staff in
these settings, such as classroom assistants and school librarians, are welcome to complete the survey too, as are secondary school practitioners who teach in curriculum areas not necessarily associated with STEM. Practitioners should focus their responses on professional learning undertaken from August 2020 to July 2021.

How will responses will be collected and stored?

We are collecting this information using Formic. Responses will be stored
securely in a restricted access folder on the Education Scotland document management system. Only relevant Education Scotland staff will see responses. Summarised responses and anonymised quotes may be used in our (Education Scotland) internal and external reports.

Your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence, and all data
disclosed will comply with the Data Protection Act 2018. None of the data you provide will be used to identify you, and the data will be collated for analysis and reporting purposes only. For further information about how your data will be used and your rights please see the Education Scotland Privacy Policy.
